Our Story
At Amani, our journey intertwines family legacy with a profound appreciation for nature’s serenity. It all began with Lilian and Edward Mrosso, envisioning a sanctuary amid Tanzania’s verdant landscapes. As they strolled through a coffee farm near what is now Amani Safari Lodge and Restaurant, fate led them to discover the ideal site for their inaugural lodge. Inspired by this revelation, they planted trees, nurturing their dream, and marking the arrival of their first child, Pulkeria.

Driven by unwavering dedication, Lilian and Edward realised their vision, giving rise to the Amani Collection—a fusion of contemporary luxury and timeless grace. Reflecting our heritage, the décor of our restaurant, camp, and lodge features wood furnishings sourced from our family forest in Rombo, Kilimanjaro.
